The NEC Birmingham

The NEC is the National Exhibition Centre, on the NEC Campus at Bickenhill, beside Birmingham International station and Birmingham Airport. It is run by the NEC Group, which also operates bp pulse LIVE on the same campus, the Utilita Arena Birmingham, the ICC and the Vox.

The operator lists 18 interconnectable blank-canvas halls, numbered 1 to 12 and 16 to 20 and including Hall 3a, alongside an arena floor. Hall 5 is 24,870m2 at 210 x 120m with a 15.5m ceiling; Hall 17 is 7,960m2 and Hall 19 is 7,950m2, both 90 x 90m with a 10m ceiling; Hall 20 is 10,670m2 at 120 x 90m with a 10m ceiling. Conference and meeting space includes the Gallery Suites, on the first floor of the Atrium side above Halls 7 & 8, and numbered Concourse Suites on the ground floor of the Atrium side.

The NEC publishes capacity by event type rather than by room: up to 50 delegates in its meeting spaces, up to 702 in its conference suites, and 500 to 10,000-plus delegates in the halls. It publishes no seated, standing or cabaret capacity for any individual hall or suite, so no spaces with capacities are recorded on this listing.

Shows recur across the campus each year; the Good Food Shows occupy Halls 17 to 20.
