Örebro slott

Örebro slott stands on an island in the Svartån river in the centre of Örebro, a short walk from the central station. The castle is over 700 years old and is now open all year as a visitor attraction with exhibitions, guided tours, a shop and the Lill-Annas café. The castle's state rooms can be hired for company events and private celebrations. The largest bookings are a whole floor (up to 300 guests, including Rikssalen, Länssalen, Kyrksalen, Vapensalen, Kristinasalongen and two smaller drawing rooms), Rikssalen with the adjoining Kyrksalen and Vapensalen (up to 250 guests) and Länssalen with Kristinasalongen and two drawing rooms (up to 150 guests). Eugensalongen, in the north-eastern tower, suits day conferences for up to 30 people. Weddings of up to 25 guests are also offered. Rikssalen was inaugurated in 1617 and dancing is not permitted there. Food and drink are arranged with the castle's partners Conventum and/or Katrinelund Gästgiveri and Sjökrog, and each room can only be booked in certain weeks of the year. The castle also hosts public events: Candlelight Concerts are staged in Rikssalen in autumn and winter 2026/27, with programmes ranging from Vivaldi and Christmas classics to Hans Zimmer and ABBA tribute shows, alongside seasonal family programmes.
