About this venue
Palace Nightclub occupies a building on Penel Orlieu, Bridgwater, that opened in 1916 as the Empire Theatre and was renamed the Palace Theatre in 1917. It served as a cinema until closing in 1986, was refurbished, and reopened as a nightclub in 1997 - notably hosting Joe Strummer's final gig in 2002. It remains a trading nightclub today.
