About this venue
Penallta RFC was formed in 1952 by miners from Penallta colliery and moved in 2008 to its current ground, Trinity Fields, Ystrad Mynach, after its former home Ystrad Fawr was redeveloped as a hospital site. Nicknamed "The Pitmen," the club fields sides from mini and junior rugby through to seniors and walking rugby, and its clubhouse doubles as a community sports bar used by the wider area, not just club members.
