Rådhus-Teatret

Rådhus-Teatret is the theatre and cinema of Kongsvinger in Innlandet, run by Kongsvinger municipality and operating publicly as Kongsvinger kino. The building on Teatergata houses the town's cinema screens and its main stage, and carries a parallel Kulturprogram of live performance alongside the film schedule. It is one of the fixed venues on Riksteatret's national touring circuit — the Norwegian state touring theatre — with Ubesvart anrop (October 2026), Apestjernen (November 2026) and Kakejazz (April 2027) among the productions booked in. The house also takes cinema birthdays, corporate screenings, baby cinema and cinema advertising. Tickets are sold at the cinema kiosk in the building and at Kongsvinger municipality's service desk (Servicetorget) at Rådhusplassen 1-3, open weekdays 08:00-15:30. The kiosk opens Sunday to Thursday 16:00-21:15 and Friday to Saturday 17:30-22:30. Tickets reserved through Riksteatret must be collected within three days. The venue closed in 2026 for a top-to-bottom refurbishment and announced it would reopen from the middle of September 2026, with the autumn Kulturprogram already on sale.
