About this venue
The Roadmender is a live-music and club venue at 1 Ladys Lane in Northampton town centre, operated by New Roadmender Ltd, which bills it as "Northampton's premier live music venue". Its programme mixes touring bands, tribute acts, day parties and DJ club nights: recent and upcoming listings include Heaven 17, Reverend and The Makers, Sham 69, Shy FX, Indiepalooza and Bingo Loco.
Beyond the 800-capacity Main Room, the building also has a Dance Studio (capacity 50) and a Training Room (capacity 20), and all three can be hired through an enquiry form on the venue's website. Events are held on one level with accessible toilets, and the venue offers one free companion or carer ticket per eligible access customer; there is no designated wheelchair area and the balcony is closed to the public. There is no on-site parking, but the Mayorhold multi-storey car park is directly opposite, and Northampton railway station is about a five-minute walk away.
