Sarpsborg kirke

Sarpsborg kirke stands on St. Marie gate in central Sarpsborg and is the church of Sarpsborg menighet. It is one of twelve churches across nine parishes belonging to the Church of Norway in Sarpsborg, administered by Sarpsborg kirkelige fellesråd. The fellesråd lets its churches and parish centres for concerts, rehearsals, functions and seminars, and Sarpsborg kirke is one of the buildings on that list — in the higher of the two rate bands, alongside Tune and Skjeberg churches. A concert without ticket income costs 3,910 kr; with ticket income the hire is 15 per cent of ticket sales, at least 4,600 kr and capped at 30,000 kr; a rehearsal on a day other than the concert costs 1,520 kr. Hire for weddings and funerals is charged separately. Applications are made through the fellesråd's online form or the kirkeverge's office. The church has also been kept open daily for visitors at times of national mourning.
