About this venue
Sherman Theatre is a producing theatre on Senghennydd Road in Cathays, describing itself as Cardiff's Theatre for Wales and as the only Theatre of Sanctuary in the country. It premieres new plays by Welsh and Wales-based writers, stages new versions of classics and a family Christmas show, and presents work in both English and Welsh.
The building has two performance spaces, the Main House and the Studio, and also hosts touring drama, dance, comedy and music theatre, including work from Wales's national companies. The theatre publishes no seating capacities, so none are recorded here.
