Skatten Oslo

Skatten sits on Tøyen torg in Oslo, right next to the metro station — a café by day and a bar and nightspot in the evening. It functions as Tøyen's culture house and the district's social meeting place, putting on concerts, festivals and theme nights, and inviting guests to use the café's own activity programme of quizzes, darts, backgammon, board games, dance courses, competitions and tournaments. The kitchen mixes Asian, American and Greek traditions, with Norwegian Christmas food for the festive season, and there is a separate catering service. Three rooms are hired out for courses, conferences, staff parties, Christmas dinners and New Year celebrations, holding up to 300 people in total. Hovedrommet (Room 1) takes 160 standing or 100 seated and can be combined with a neighbouring room for a maximum of 200 standing or 150 seated. Det Røde Rommet (Room 2) sits between Hovedrommet and Det Grønne Rommet and can be combined with either; on its own it holds 40 standing or 30 seated. Room 3 is the most private of the three, at 60 standing or 40 seated. The venue is open for viewings during opening hours, and metro, bus and taxi stops are a minute away. Skatten is closed on Mondays, open 14:00–24:00 Tuesday to Thursday, 14:00–03:00 on Fridays, 11:00–03:00 on Saturdays and 11:00–17:00 on Sundays.
