About this venue

Smia is the multi-purpose house in Leksvik in Indre Fosen, completed in the autumn of 2019. It brings together a culture hall, a meeting room, rehearsal rooms, a music and dance studio, a kitchen, a library and a foyer with a sports hall, a swimming pool and physiotherapy facilities. The cultural part of the building is managed by KulturCompagniet, which coordinates its use in close cooperation with the municipal culture school, professional and voluntary cultural life and local business, and which also runs Bojersalen at Åsly school in Rissa. KulturCompagniet programmes both houses: recent and forthcoming bookings include Turnéteatret i Trøndelag with Karius og Baktus and En mann ved navn Ove, the Kveli Rånes Show, the crime-scene technician talk by Eva B. Ragde and the Christmas show Jul i Svingen. Rooms available for hire at Smia include the Klubbrom, the kitchen and the rehearsal and music rooms; booking requests are made through KulturCompagniet's online form.
