St Giles' Church, Balderton

St Giles' Church is the Anglican parish church of Balderton, on Main Street south-east of Newark. The building is 12th-century in origin and was restored in 1880; it has two Romanesque porch doorways of about 1140, a rood screen of about 1475, an octagonal 14th-century font and a west spire with a peal of eight bells. It is part of the BBC group of parishes and holds a Family Communion every Sunday. Facilities include an organ, a regular choir, bell ringing, a hearing loop and toilets.
