St Mary's Church, Henley On Thames

St Mary the Virgin is the ancient civic church of Henley-on-Thames, on Hart Street beside the Thames. Basically a 13th-century building, it was substantially remodelled around 1400, given its distinctive stone-and-flint tower under Bishop John Longland in the early 16th century, and restored by Benjamin Ferrey in 1853-54. Its skyline-dominating tower and Victorian stained glass by Lavers and Westlake are notable features.
