About this venue

Stoke Minster, dedicated to St Peter ad Vincula (St Peter in Chains), is the civic church for the City of Stoke-on-Trent. Christian worship has taken place on the site since Saxon times, and the Minster is a stop for pilgrims on the Two Saints Way. Beyond Sunday worship, the Minster describes itself as a popular venue for concerts and other events. It runs regular monthly organ recitals, and outside organisers stage concerts here, with tickets sold by the organiser. Recent and upcoming bookings include the University Hospital Orchestra and a G4 Christmas concert. Groups can make a booking inquiry through the Minster's own booking form, and the office confirms availability. The church is a listed building with stained glass, an organ, a choir and a ring of bells. Facilities listed by the Church of England register include a ramp and step-free access, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop. The seated capacity is not published.
