About this venue

Samfunnet i Ås is the student society at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, with its own house at Olav L. Moens plass 1 in Ås. It is run by volunteers and members, and its semester programme covers club nights, parties, quizzes, a revue and events put on by the student organisations that use the building. Klubben is the house bar and club. The rooms available for booking are AudMax, Halvors, Johannes, Festsalen and Møterommet. Student organisations attached to the NMBU student community can borrow rooms free of charge during term as long as three quarters of their members belong to Samfunnet; AudMax and Johannes follow separate booking rules and may be charged through the student administration. The society also hires out film and photo gear and sound and lighting equipment. Members book rooms through the society's own booking address, non-members through the student welfare organisation, and larger events through the society's party coordinator.
