About this venue
Sunndal kulturhus is the municipal culture house at Sunndalsøra, run as a department of Sunndal municipality's culture service. It is built to cover the region's need for larger productions — theatre, concerts and cinema — and sets out to be a natural meeting place for individuals, clubs and organisations as well as for meetings, courses and other events.
Hovshall is the main hall, with 320 seats including two wheelchair places, expandable to 370 with loose chairs. Støgu — described by the house as Sunndal's storstue, its great room — takes about 150. Keila seats 71. Nebba/Nuten is a meeting room for 20 and Toppheis one for 15.
Catering is supplied by Holmefjord mat. Technical assistance is charged at 476 kr an hour on weekdays and 750 kr at weekends, and box-office staffing beyond ordinary ticket-sales hours at 476 kr per started hour. Bookings are taken by phone or through Sunndal municipality's hire form, and the house publishes its own rate card and equipment list.
