Tapyard is a multi-purpose event space in Warehouse 34 at Hoults Yard, the former Maling pottery works in Byker. The building has been a pottery, an HGV workshop and the home of the Shindig club night before being taken on by the musician couple Sam Roberts and Gabby Cooke.
The room keeps its exposed brick and original wooden roof trusses, and is equipped with a bar, a stage, an in-house PA, projectors and microphones. It is hired for live gigs and club nights as well as weddings, parties, corporate events and film and TV production.
