Tate Modern

Tate Modern is Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art, occupying the former Bankside Power Station on the south bank of the Thames. It opened in 2000 and was extended in 2016 with the Blavatnik Building.

Beyond the collection displays and temporary exhibitions it works as an events space: the vast Turbine Hall, 152 metres long and 35 metres high, carries large-scale commissions and performances, and the museum runs Tate Modern Lates evenings of music, talks and workshops.
