About this venue
Temple Newsam is a Tudor-Jacobean house set in around 1,500 acres of Capability Brown parkland on the eastern edge of Leeds, run by Leeds Museums and Galleries for Leeds City Council. The house holds more than 40 rooms of decorative arts, including work by Thomas Chippendale, and the estate takes in a working Home Farm, walled garden and play barn.
Three rooms inside the house are hired for events - the Great Hall, the Picture Gallery and the Dining Room - alongside the Still Room, and the parkland is used for marquees and for large-scale outdoor hire ranging from live music concerts to charity fundraisers and sporting events.
