About this venue
The Bull's Head is a riverside Young's pub in Barnes, in a building dating from 1846 on a site with a pub history going back to the 17th century. It sits near Barnes Bridge station at the top of Barnes High Street, serving seasonal British food alongside Young's ales.
Its dedicated Jazz Room has hosted live jazz nightly since 1959, opening the same year as Ronnie Scott's and becoming known as the "suburban Ronnie Scott's". Humphrey Lyttelton played there monthly for 42 years, and the room has hosted artists including Coleman Hawkins, Tubby Hayes and Stan Tracey. The pub also has two function rooms, the Melrose Room and the Holst Room, available for private hire.
