About this venue
The Fire Station is a mid-scale performance venue in the heart of Sunderland, housed in the restored 1907 Edwardian fire station on High Street West. Its purpose-built Auditorium opened in 2021 and takes 550 seated or 806 standing.
The building also holds the Engine Room bar & bistro, a Foyer Bar and mezzanine used for receptions, and the Parade Ground, an outdoor performance space with a stage and outdoor bar. It is part of the Sunderland Culture partnership.
