The National Gallery holds the national collection of Western European painting from the 13th to the early 20th century, in Wilkins's 1838 building on the north side of Trafalgar Square. Alongside the free public galleries it runs a long-standing events programme, including lunchtime and evening concerts.
The Gallery publishes a venue-hire offer that takes in the galleries themselves as well as purpose-built event rooms. Spaces include the domed, marble-columned Barry Rooms, Central Hall, the Pigott Theatre, Annenberg Court, the Sainsbury Wing Foyer, the Wohl Room, the Portico and Mosaic Terraces and the Roden Centre for Creative Learning, with whole-Gallery hire available for the largest events.
