The Northern Powerhouse

The Northern Powerhouse is a live music venue and event space at 82-90 Taylor Street in Birkenhead, opposite the Wirral Transport Museum. It programmes bands and DJs with a rock and metal leaning, and is the home of the Fireball Friday Rock Show.

The room is also used for all-night promoter takeovers well outside that leaning - psychedelic and soundsystem nights with live bands, international and local artists, and projection and visuals have been ticketed here through 2026. It is a wet-led venue with no food registration.

The operator publishes no capacity, no room dimensions and no technical specification, and has no website of its own - listings and tickets run through third-party platforms and its Facebook page - so no bookable space is recorded here.
