About this venue
The Old Savoy is a restored 1930s art deco cinema and theatre on Abington Square in Northampton, which brands itself "The Old Savoy - Home of The Deco Theatre". The restoration was carried out under English Heritage supervision and keeps the original art deco interior alongside modern production equipment.
The main auditorium seats 900. The building also holds smaller spaces used for events and hire - The Dore, The Glen, meeting rooms, and Bar 36, a private bar with a roof terrace - for which the operator publishes no capacities, so none are recorded here. The programme runs to tribute acts, comedy, club nights, talks and community events.
