The Old Toll Bar
Victorian palace pub at Paisley Road Toll with a nationally important interior, hosting regular live music and comedy.
About this venue
The Old Toll Bar is a Victorian "palace pub" at Paisley Road Toll, in the ground floor of an 1860 tenement and remodelled in 1892-93. CAMRA's Pub Heritage group rates the interior as of outstanding national historic importance, with a dark wooden back gantry incorporating whisky casks, a mirrored centrepiece, hand-painted advertising mirrors and original painted windows. The building is B-listed.
The pub hosts regular live music, comedy and other events, and has a beer garden. Its sister venue, The Red Door Club, is round the corner on Admiral Street.
