About this venue
The Players Bar occupies 12 Tufton Street in Ashford town centre, the premises that traded for years as The Phoenix. Chris Hall took it over in 2024 and reopened it after a refurbishment, billing it as Ashford's home of sport with multiple screens, pool tables and dart boards.
At its opening the operator told the local press that the refurbishment had created a space for bands to play and that he planned DJ nights across different genres. A review of the bar in June 2026 describes a jukebox rather than live performance, so the current extent of the live programme is unclear.
