About this venue
The Queen's Hall opened in 1823 as Hope Park Chapel and has been Edinburgh's mid-scale concert hall since 1979. The horseshoe balcony and box pews of the original church survive, and the room is known for an unusually warm acoustic.
It is the concert home of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Scottish Ensemble, hosts the Edinburgh International Festival's morning classical series and the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, and programmes folk, roots and contemporary gigs across the rest of the year. The auditorium is also available for commercial hire.
