About this venue
The Saltgrass sits at Ayres Quay on Hanover Place, in the historic Deptford quarter of Wearside close to the River Wear. It is a long-standing Sunderland pub that reopened after a period of closure and now trades as a pub and music venue.
Live bands play every Sunday evening from 6.30pm, with buskers and live sport through the week, and in summer bands move outdoors into the large beer garden alongside pizza & barbecue events. A gastro menu is served Wednesday to Saturday with Sunday lunch until 5pm.
