About this venue

The Studio is Hartlepool's independent live music venue, run by the registered charity Hartlepool Community Studio (charity no. 1056000) from Tower Street in the town centre. It programmes touring and tribute acts, local bands and youth music projects such as Hartlepool Rock School and the We Make Sound creative project, and also offers recording studio facilities and rehearsal rooms. The venue is available for hire. Event hire is a flat fee that includes a sound engineer and tech support, PA, lights, bar and box office staff, and cleaning after the event; independent promoters and artists can choose a flat fee or an 80/20 split on ticket sales, and the charity says it will negotiate terms for community groups, charities and fundraisers. The stage is 6 m wide, 5 m deep and 2.4 m high. Front of house runs on a Behringer X32 digital mixer with four monitor feeds, with Shure SM58 and SM57 microphones, condenser and drum mics, Palmer DI boxes and a lighting rig. The premises licence covers live and recorded music, plays, films, dance and alcohol sales, Monday to Saturday 11:00 to 02:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 02:00. No audience capacity is published.
