The Underground

The Underground is a club and live music venue on Morley Street in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and was once part of the Club NME network. It is known for hosting up-and-coming indie, rock and metal acts alongside many local Staffordshire bands. Over the years its stage has hosted Babyshambles, Bring Me the Horizon, Editors, The Wombats, Klaxons, Parkway Drive, Sick of It All, UK Subs, Discharge and Misfits, among many others. A 2004 Babyshambles gig that spilled onto the street gave the club cult status. The venue continues to run a full gig calendar, with dates listed through 2026, and promoters can enquire about private hire to put on their own shows. No capacity figure is published.
