The Warfield theatre has served the San Francisco area since 1922. Originally built as a vaudeville and movie palace, the magnificent playhouse seats 2,250 guests. The Warfield hosted its first live concert in 1979 when Bob Dylan played there for two weeks. Since then the venue has showcased the likes of Adele, Kings of Leon, Prince and many more musical stars. Décor features antique accents like pressed ceilings, magnificent frescoes and dazzling chandeliers but sadly, upkeep of the theatre is lacking and this once majestic playhouse has deteriorated considerably.
