About this venue
The Tyneside Irish Centre is the home of the Irish community in Newcastle upon Tyne, on Gallowgate near St James' Park. With around 3,000 members, it runs a full bar and three floors of function space, hosting traditional sessions on Thursdays, ballad groups on Saturdays and Irish social dancing on Sundays, alongside touring folk and Irish acts, St Patrick's celebrations and private hire. Much of the music programme is free to attend.
