About this venue

Varen is the municipal culture stage in Randaberg, on Torvmyrveien just north of Stavanger. It carries a year-round programme of concerts, stand-up, family shows and theatre, and also curates events at three other locations in the municipality: Tungenes fyr, Randaberg folkebibliotek and Vistnestunet. Recent and forthcoming bills run from Øystein Pettersen's stand-up show and the Torsdag på Tungenes concert series — with Hanne Sørvaag, Inge Bremnes and Jørgen Tjemsland among the performers — to Robyn Hitchcock, the Johnny Cash tribute CASH & The Tennessee Studs, the Vitenshitshow science show and a staging of Pinocchio. The hall is hired out; the venue handles bookings through its own booking line and address, and had not published a room list or rates at the time of writing.
