About this venue
Vennesla kulturhus at Venneslamoen 19 is the municipality's cultural centre, gathering the library and innbyggertorg, the music school and the museum under one roof and running a year-round programme of concerts, talks, stand-up and children's shows.
Four rooms are hired out. Salen is the main hall, with a stage, sound and lighting rig, projector and screen and 293 fixed cinema seats — used for performances and concerts, lectures and larger meetings. The foyer is described by the municipality as the heart of the house and can be rigged in endless ways, with its own projector, screen and sound and lighting rig, taking 190 people for concerts, meetings, talks and ceremonies. Downstairs, Tilflukten holds 55 and Eventyrrommet 37, both with projector and screen, laid out with tables and chairs or chairs alone for meetings, conferences, rehearsals and smaller functions.
Recent programming has included an author talk with Tore Renberg, Halvor Johansson's stand-up show, Louis Jacoby, Jonas Alaska, the children's show Kaptein Rødskjegg and the magic show Magiens Verden 2.
