Winter Gardens Blackpool is a Grade II* listed entertainment and conference complex on Church Street, opened in 1878 and extended in phases up to 1939. It is not a single auditorium but a group of named halls under one roof: the Opera House Theatre, the Empress Ballroom, the Spanish Hall, the Baronial Hall, the Pavilion Theatre, the Olympia exhibition hall and the Renaissance Hall, along with bars, a restaurant and a cafe. The complex has two public entrances, on Church Street and on Coronation Street opposite the Houndshill Centre.
The building is owned by Blackpool Council and has been operated by Blackpool Tourism Limited since February 2026, having previously been run by Blackpool Entertainment Company Limited. Several of its halls are large enough to be booked and marketed in their own right and are listed separately in this directory; the Spanish Hall is treated here as one of its named spaces since it is booked through the Winter Gardens' own events team rather than independently.
