Withington Public Hall Institute

Withington Public Hall Institute — locally the Whippy — is a historic community building on Burton Road run since 2021 as a more-than-profit social enterprise, with all surplus reinvested in the building and local initiatives. Downstairs there is a wood-panelled snug and a larger room used as a performance space, drinking area and pizzeria; upstairs is a renovated co-working floor that also takes workshops and screenings. The programme covers live music, cinema, comedy, quizzes, markets, art classes and exhibitions.
