Ye Olde John O'Gaunt

Ye Olde John O'Gaunt is a rustic pub established in 1871, named after John of Gaunt, the medieval Duke of Lancaster. Its Edwardian frontage, painted timberwork and stained glass open onto a narrow bar whose walls are covered in beer mats and photographs of musicians who have played there.

Live music is the pub's mainstay: it runs performances most nights of the week, with long-running, well-attended open mic nights on Sundays and Mondays that welcome performers of all levels alongside touring acts.
