About this venue
53 Degrees is a live-music venue inside the University of Central Lancashire Students' Union building on Fylde Road, built at a cost of £6.5 million and opened in 2005. Across two rooms it hosted touring acts including Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Courteeners, Dizzee Rascal, Adele and Calvin Harris, before formally closing to the public at the end of 2014 and sitting mostly dormant, used only for university events.
Promoters GS Promotions relaunched the venue's 400-capacity club room in August 2025, with the larger main room scheduled to reopen for public shows from December 2026.
