About this venue
Blitz is a heritage live music venue and nightclub at 5 Church Row in Preston city centre, a short walk from the bus station. The building has traded under many names since the 1960s, including Moonraker's, Townend Bar and Pacha's, before settling as Blitz around 2004.
The venue runs as a nightclub three nights a week and hosts gigs, album launches and club nights across two rooms with in-house sound and lighting, sometimes in partnership with local record shop Action Records. It has hosted more than 500 events, including acts such as Bastille, The Libertines and The Sherlocks.
