About this venue

Ringve Musikkmuseum stands on a historic country estate at Lade, just outside Trondheim, surrounded by the Ringve botanical garden. It is Norway's national music museum — since a merger it forms one museum with Rockheim under the name Norges musikkmuseum, within Museene i Sør-Trøndelag — and its exhibitions include the harp collection, the instrument gallery Lydspor, and guided tours of the main house with live music played on the instruments. The concert hall, Konsertsalen, is the museum's principal event room: 250 seats, up to a maximum of 252, with the technical facilities for a large conference, and it can be divided for smaller groups, leaving 51 seats in the rear section. It is used for the museum's own concert programme — chamber matinées during the Kamfest festival, family concerts and an autumn season of concerts and live music — and let for larger conferences and cultural events. Møterom Victoria is the smaller room, taking up to 50 people, decorated with motifs from the estate's history and equipped for courses, meetings and conferences; full-day conferences are served with refreshments through the day and lunch in Café Victoria. Hire in 2026 is 20,000 kr for the concert hall with a technician, 13,000 kr without, and 8,000 kr for Møterom Victoria. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 11:00-16:00 and closed Mondays, with admission at 180 kr for adults, 160 kr concessions and free for children under 16. Café Victoria keeps the museum's hours.
