Otley Courthouse Becomes One of First UK Venues to Adopt Crescat GO

Otley Courthouse, the vibrant West Yorkshire arts and community hub, has today launched a partnership with Crescat, leading event production software provider. As one of the first successful UK applicants of the new Crescat GO Grassroots Support Scheme, Otley Courthouse will now implement Crescat’s innovative software to manage and produce its diverse event programme. With its community focus, volunteer inclusion and commitment to cultural enrichment, Otley Courthouse is an ideal recipient for the Crescat GO grant.

This exciting collaboration signifies a major step for UK grassroots venues, building upon Crescat’s growing regard in the UK market and underscoring Crescat’s commitment to independent cultural spaces. Crescat GO, a scheme launched with partners like Music Venue Trust (MVT) and Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), provides affordable access to Crescat’s premium software for organisations facing financial barriers and operational pressures. Crescat’s software streamlines operations, improves efficiency, and reduces errors, providing crucial benefits for grassroots organisations with limited resources.

Housed in a converted Victorian Magistrates Court, Otley Courthouse is a cherished community asset, offering a rich programme of music, comedy, film, theatre, exhibitions, and workshops. Primarily volunteer-run, it plays a crucial role in Otley's cultural life.

"We are absolutely thrilled to benefit from the Crescat GO scheme," said Laura Barker-Bey, Co-Centre Director at Otley Courthouse. "As a volunteer-led organisation, operational and budget efficiency is paramount. Crescat will be invaluable in juggling our events, reducing administrative burdens, and allowing our team to focus on delivering exceptional experiences."

Paul Twynham, UK Sales Manager at Crescat:

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Otley Courthouse as one of our first UK Crescat GO venues. Their dedication and vibrant cultural programming align perfectly with Crescat GO's mission, to bring first-class production tools to the often underserved independent cultural sector. We cannot wait to see what they achieve.”

This partnership underscores Crescat and Otley Courthouse's shared vision: fostering a thriving live events ecosystem and ensuring vital cultural spaces succeed despite increasing pressures. The partnership is expected to provide a model illustration of the Crescat GO initiative.
