8 Water St Grill & Bar

8 Water Street is a Mediterranean bar and grill occupying a ground-floor unit of Norwich House, the 1973 Edmund Kirby and Sons office block at 8 Water Street in Liverpool's business district, a few minutes from the Pier Head. The kitchen works over a charcoal grill: hot and cold mezze, lamb and adana, seabass and guvec, with a full vegetarian and vegan line. It opened in January 2023 and traded initially as Pier Eight.

It is a restaurant and bar rather than a hire venue, but it programmes live entertainment regularly. The Sunday roast is served noon to 8pm with a bottomless option that includes a live singer, and the room is taken over for ticketed themed nights - the Halloween bottomless brunch "A Nightmare on Water Street" on 31 October is run in collaboration with the promoter EMP Syndicate and billed with live performers throughout the venue. A three-course Christmas menu runs through December, with party bookings taken by phone.

Behind the bar there is a full cocktail, wine and beer list. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday noon to 10pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 11.30pm, and Sunday noon to 8pm. No room-hire capacities or function-room layouts are published anywhere, so no bookable space is recorded here.
