About this venue
The Banter Kirche is the church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Bant in Wilhelmshaven. It was designed in neo-Gothic style by the Oldenburg architect Ludwig Freese and consecrated in 1900. It was badly damaged in Second World War air raids and restored by 1953. The church hosts choral concerts, such as the Banter Kantorei's performance of Handel's Messiah in September 2026.
