About this venue
The Evangelical Lutheran Christus- und Garnisonkirche on Am Kirchplatz in Wilhelmshaven was consecrated in 1872 as the Elisabethkirche. After severe damage from Allied bombing in the Second World War it was reconsecrated in 1959 under its current double name. The church hosts concerts, such as the Kammerchor Wilhelmshaven's "In Paradisum - Licht leuchte!" (Klassik am Meer e.V., November 2026), and has featured vocal ensembles such as Sjaella.
