Hüs

Hüs is a family-run neighbourhood bar and kitchen on Osborne Road in Jesmond, opened in March 2024 in the premises formerly trading as Quattro. It serves natural wines, craft cocktails and home-cooked food in a pared-back Scandinavian room, has heated outdoor terraces, is dog friendly, and stays open to midnight.

The back of the bar is curtained off with a heavy black drape for Behind the Curtain, a series of intimate stripped-back gigs staged in the softly lit space behind it. The series was created by the Newcastle promoter Richy Hetherington and has drawn sell-out audiences for local and touring acoustic and experimental acts.
