About this venue
Opened 2003, one of Birmingham's most established live music venues, in St Paul's Square in the Jewellery Quarter. Two floors: downstairs holds a DJ booth, bar and dance floor; upstairs is the main stage room. Live music most nights, wide-ranging genres (indie, rock covers, ska, rockabilly, acoustic, electronica). Known for supporting local musicians and late opening hours. Runs a weekly Sunday blues night ("Actress Blues Club") and a Monday quiz. Notable historical detail: the building was the site of the last public hanging in Birmingham
