About this venue

The Caves occupies the 18th-century vaults beneath Edinburgh's South Bridge, entered from Niddry Street South just off the Cowgate. The stone chambers were once the city's Whisky Row and are part of the Old Town UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Six linked spaces are hired for weddings, gala dinners, private parties and corporate events, and the venue also runs live music and club nights. Through August it hosts a Fringe comedy programme.
