Crescat partners with Industry Organisations to launch Grassroots Grant Scheme to Support Venues, Festivals, and Start-Ups

Crescat, the event management software, has today announced the launch of a Grassroots Grant Scheme, in partnership with industry organisations Music Venue Trust (MVT) and Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) in the UK and Norwegian Live (Norske Kulturarrangør - NKA) in Norway, aptly named Crescat GO

Crescat GO
Crescat GO is a brand new scheme, designed to provide Grassroots events organisers, venues and festivals and new live event Start-Ups, with demonstrable financial barriers, affordable access to Crescat’s event management software, with significant discount available exclusively to successful applicants of the scheme.

Crescat’s software is built for helping music venues, festivals, conferences, event organisers, theatres and event spaces streamline their operations, improve efficiency and reduce mistakes, all of which are hugely beneficial to the Grassroots and Start-Up sector of the live event industry across Europe, especially in the landscape of increasing costs and operational pressures.

That is why Crescat has partnered with Music Venue Trust and Association of Independent Festivals, the leading representatives of Grassroots and Independent music venues and festivals in the UK, and Norwegian Live, the association for live event organisations in Norway, the country of Crescat’s founding. MVT, AIF and NKA have vast industry knowledge and experience of supporting the Grassroots and Independent sector and are working with Crescat to ensure the Crescat GO scheme reaches and serves its members in the best way possible.

"When Crescat introduced us to their Crescat GO scheme, we saw clear benefits for our Music Venues Alliance members. Their support for grassroots and independent live events aligns with our charitable aims, and we’re pleased to be working with them on this initiative. Grassroots music venues and their dedicated teams are often short on time, so we welcome the development of tools that help them deliver outstanding cultural programmes".

- Mark Davyd, CEO of Music Venue Trust.

Jørgen Iden, Crescat Co-Founder and CEO:

“Crescat GO is the culmination of a long-standing commitment to supporting the live event industry and the smaller, independent players who create huge value to audiences and the entire ecosystem. We at Crescat wanted to reaffirm that commitment with a concrete offer and opportunity for Grassroots and Start-Up organisations to save time, reduce stress and free themselves up to create incredible events, which is ultimately what this industry is about”.

The scheme, launched today, will be open to applications from organisations across Europe, and each application will be independently assessed against standardised eligibility criteria to ensure each applicant is treated fairly. Each successful applicant will receive access to Crescat’s premium, industry-trusted software at a price point tailored for grassroots organisations with limited budgets.

Regarding the scheme, John Rostron, CEO of AIF, said:

“Since joining AIF in 2023, Crescat has engaged closely with our member festivals, attending our conferences and events, hosting webinars and meeting with our members. The Crescat GO scheme is another example of the careful attention they pay to UK independent festivals and aligns very closely with our core principles and in particular, our Fallow Festival Fund, which we launched at our Festival Congress in February, as a way of supporting independent festivals forced to take a fallow year”.

A good example of Crescat’s commitment to Grassroots organisations is with AIF member Found Festival, a new festival for 2025:

“We at Found knew we wanted to implement a production system from the inception of the festival and not have to retrofit one later down the line, but we had budget constraints as a new festival starting up. Crescat were very supportive in providing us a solution that suited our needs”.

- Mary Hodson, Found Festival Co-Director.

Crescat GO is now live for applications here. Grassroots venues, festivals, event organisers and live event industry Start-ups, looking to improve their event management processes, are encouraged to apply for Crescat GO Grassroots Grant Scheme today.
