USF VERFTET: USF Verftet is the country’s largest co-location for artists, performers and cultural organizations. USF is Bergen’s most active venue on a large scale, and is a regular stop on Norwegian and international music artists’ tour plans. With over 1,000 different events each year and about 150,000 visitors, USF is a major cultural hotspot.
Event manager at USF Verftet, Sindre Didriksen, is clear that having room booking in such a large and bustling cultural arena is incredibly important.

“We must have full control over the implementation of all our events. The margins of error are small. It is important to us that all information is gathered in one place, and that everyone finds the information they need to do the job they are set to do best. Crescat helps us with that”.
The Verftet’s location has a long and rich history. It started with the shipyard (which is what a ‘verft’ is) that built the world’s fastest sailing ship in the 18th century. Then the textile industry took over and then a sardine factory. By 1993, the artists had gotten their hands on it, renovated it and opened it up to the public. The building has since been transformed into a distinctive place with scenes for music, cinema, eatery and art gallery.

“We save a lot of time by using Crescat. In addition, it is easy to collaborate with everyone who will be working on an event. When we book technicians and other personnel, they know that all the information is in Crescat. They can then easily see the timetable and what tasks they must perform right in the Crescat Companion mobile app”.
2020 will be a hectic year with a lot of activity as Bergen residents and visitors alike flock to concerts and other events.
“It will be another exciting year for USF Verftet. We’re continuing to improve our location and we are working every day to increase activity and public interest. Crescat has listened to our suggestions to improve the system. This is important in an industry that’s continuously developing “, says Didriksen.
Crescat looks forward to a great collaboration with USF Verftet in 2020.
