The Hen & Chicken is a large pub, restaurant and event venue on North Street in Southville. Its first-floor studio has been the home of The Comedy Box since 1998 - one of the longest-running provincial comedy venues in the UK, founded in Bristol in 1994 - and it also puts on live music, particularly folk, blues and world music, and serves wood-fired pizza.
The first-floor room is reached by a flight of stairs and there is no lift, so it is not wheelchair accessible.
