A runner in the live event world is basically the go-to person for all kinds of important tasks. Think of them as the behind-the-scenes problem solver, making sure everything runs smoothly. Their job can include things like:

• Driving crew, artists, or gear around
• Grabbing food, drinks, or last-minute supplies
• Running errands for production or tour managers
• Helping set up and tear down backstage
• Basically being ready for anything that pops up

It’s usually an entry-level gig, but it’s a great way to get your foot in the door, meet people, and see how the industry really works. It requires great flexibility and willingness to learn on the job and be fast on your feet!
